Should You Even Buy an iPhone Case?

With the announcement of the new iPhone 5 and iPad mini we have a serious dilemma among consumers and tech enthusiasts alike. Obviously after spending hundreds of dollars on technology what we want to do is insure our new device. One of the easiest ways to do this is with cases for our devices. A quality case cannot only protect our device from drops, falls, and even water damage, but they can add a personalized look to our devices. However, this protection comes at a price. For Apple devices like the iPhone and iPad a case can take away from the engineered look of an Apple device. Some people go as far to say that John Ive (iPhone and iPad lead designer) made the best case, which is the iPhone and iPads unibody design. Apple has made strides to improving the construction and durability of their products. However, since the release of the iPhone 5 tech enthusiasts have come across one big caveat. The iPhone 5 is very scratch-able, and because of this people are looking more and more for cases to protect their phone from getting scratched. Phones are by far one of the most dropped and broken consumer products of the last decade, and since their original creation companies have been creating cases to fit a variety of peoples needs. From super protective to super unique there is now a case for everyone. With all said there are some options for people who want the look of an apple device without the bulk and deterrent looks of a case. Many case makers have created cases that are see through which still offer decent protection. This ensures the original Apple design along with a bit of pizzaz. Furthermore, even bulky cases designed for maximum protection have revitalized their lineup of cases and accessories for the new iphone 5 and iPad mini, thus making the new cases thinner, and sleeker. Some of these cases have gone as far as to make the original Apple design look dismal in compared to a device with a case.
